Reflecting on a Year of Growth and Connection: Highlights from 2024 at Davie Kaplan

As we close out 2024, we at Davie Kaplan reflect on a year filled with growth, exciting changes and a deepened commitment to our clients and community. Every project and initiative has been an opportunity to enhance the way we serve our clients. We’ve celebrated successes both big and small, and each one has brought us closer as a firm and reaffirmed our dedication to making a positive impact. Here are some highlights of what made 2024 exceptional: 

New Office Location at Meridian Centre 
Effective July 29, 2024, we made an exciting move to our new office at 100 Meridian Centre Blvd., Suite 200. Davie Kaplan has been guiding Rochester businesses and families for over three generations. This location represents not just a physical change but a renewed focus on collaborative client experiences. The enhanced space is designed to bring our team and clients closer, ensuring seamless service across all departments and providing a welcoming environment for future growth.  

Strengthening Community and Building Connections 
2024 was a year of meaningful community involvement and active recruiting for Davie Kaplan. During the Day of Caring, our staff volunteered at Rochester Greenovation, helping to sort, tag, organize, and move items to support this valuable community resource. Another community outreach we always enjoy participating in is the SBC Cares Thanksgiving Appeal. The goal of this outreach is to provide a Thanksgiving meal to families in need. Last year Davie Kaplan contributed 56 boxes and this year we proudly donated 60 boxes!  

We also connected with future accounting professionals at several events, including the St. John Fisher recruiting event, the SUNY Geneseo Accounting Expo, and the SUNY Brockport Accounting & Recruiting Networking Event. These gatherings allowed us to share insights about our firm, meet talented individuals, and strengthen our presence in the local academic community. We look forward to welcoming new talent whose skills and fresh perspectives will contribute to Davie Kaplan’s continued growth and commitment to excellence. 

Celebrating the Success of the 2024 Tax Season 
Another successful tax season was met with a dedicated team, streamlined processes and the support of our clients. Our tax experts worked diligently to ensure compliance and strategic planning, helping our clients pursue their financial goals while adapting to new regulatory changes. This accomplishment reflects the hard work and dedication of our team, as well as the trust our clients place in us during one of the busiest times of the year. 

Hosting an Engaging Tax, Audit and Accounting Seminar 
In October, we hosted our annual Fall Seminar at Casa Larga Vineyard & Winery, welcoming financial professionals from across the region for two days of learning and collaboration. Attendees gained valuable insights and expert guidance on tax, audit, and accounting topics in a setting designed to foster connection and professional growth. This event underscores our commitment to supporting the broader financial community by sharing knowledge and fostering industry best practices. 

State of the Firm Event: Reflecting on 2024 and Looking Ahead 
In November, we held our annual State of the Firm event, bringing our team together to reflect on the accomplishments of the past year and share insights on our goals and strategies for the future. This gathering was a time to celebrate our collective achievements, engage in meaningful discussions, and reinforce our dedication to excellence. With a strong foundation in place, we’re excited to step into 2025 with a clear vision and renewed commitment to serving our clients and community.
